Oversized sweatshirt translating Fernando Cobelo’s poetic universe into symbols and illustrations.
The embroideries are thoughtfully placed across the entire garment, each one a fragment of suspended time. Every element reveals a different way of inhabiting “the wait” — moving between lightness, irony, and melancholy. The sharp, immediate lines create a balance of playfulness and introspection, unmistakably marked by Cobelo’s signature style.
In the ivory variant, the blue and red motifs emerge gently against the pale background, evoking an imagery full of emotion — like an illustrated diary. In the khaki-green version, the tone-on-tone palette with lighter accents vibrates discreetly, suggesting a more intimate, contemplative dimension — like a thought slowly surfacing.

This project was selected as a winner by the Society of Illustrators of New York in the Surface Design category and was exhibited at the Museum of Illustration in Manhattan in Spring 2026.
